The duration of the tour is approximately 2 hours and we travel from the historic Durban Point and along the golden mile. Your cycling guides are all THETA accredited guides and we stop periodically for briefings about the different landmarks and areas of the city.
The cycling tour begins on the beach at uShaka Marine World beneath the imposing view of the bluff. We visit the Wilson's Wharf Marina where we stop for a drink and enjoy a walk around the quaint flea market.
From there we cycle to the Victoria Embankment where we meet hero's of a bygone era such as John Ross, Vasco de Gama, Dick King and Ndongeni. We travel through Durban and enjoy the rich colonial architecture of the early 1900's.
We then head through town to the Golden Mile, where we cycle along the boardwalk, accessible only on foot or by bike. Here we enjoy the bustling Durban beachfront and cycle out along the famous North Pier. Take in the sunken Gardens and learn about Durban's recent past and the challenges facing the young rainbow nation.
We use only high quality Giant Mountain Bikes which are equipped with front shocks and are constructed of aluminum.
