Sean Uys: Director

Sean started uShaka Surf and Adventures in 2002. He is passionate about ensuring that every visitor to uShaka beach has an amazing and safe ocean experience. He is a level 2 surf coach and highly experienced ocean paddler and kayak guide. Sean has extensive experience in Corporate teambuilding and designed the programs being offered.

Sean Sellman: Operations Manager

Sean Sellman is a seasoned Durban Lifeguard with over 20 years of lifesaving experience. He is responsible for the efficient running of operations at the centre and for ensuring our customers are safe at all times. Sean is an experienced surf coach and kayaker and loves nothing better then teaching people of all ages how to surf.

Lucky Khumalo: Lead Kayak Guide

Lucky is a national level competitive lifeguard and surf-ski paddler. He is our lead kayak guide and has an amazing way with people. His coaching skills are well-known and one of his aims in life is to show as many previously disadvantaged people as possible the joys of the ocean.
 

Bongani Mathe: Kayak guide / surf coach

Bongani is a strong guy who prides himself on his physical abilities but also has a strong heart and a determination to succeed. He is a qualified lifeguard and a good surf coach.
 
 

Diane Sellman: Admin and Operations

Diane ensures the smooth running of the shop and admin at the centre. She is a cheerful person who loves nothing better then a smiling customer. Diane will always go out of her way to make sure visitors to uShaka Surf and Adventures have a great experience.

Rusty

Rusty is the latest addition to the team. He loves nothing better then a ride on a kayak and lists his passions as chasing girl Jack Russels and anything in the shape of a ball.
