Group from Massachusetts learn to surf at Durban’s uShaka Beach

16 Kids from America joined us on the beach for 3 crazy hours of surfing fun. The group had been out on a working holiday and had had little time to enjoy the ocean and beaches that the South Africa’s East Coast is so well known for.

The group leader had arranged a trip to uShaka Marine World and happened to notice the adventure centre. The group was quickly equipped with rash vests and boards and with almost unlimited enthusiasm they hit the surf. Every member of the team got up and riding and a tired but happy group of youngsters posed for a group photo on the beach after an amazing afternoon session that they said was one of the highlights of their African visit.
