Group take to OC6 Ocean Outrigger Canoe

A regular fixture for anyone coming down to uShaka Beach is the giant OC6 ocean racing canoe that is outside the uShaka Surf and Adventure shop.

During the holidays a fun loving group of crazy Johannesburgers decided to take the canoe out. What resulted was a fun outing of thrills and spills and much fun.

The group quickly learned the ropes of the complicate OC6 canoe. A few basics were imparted including steering technique and the importance of timing in the OC6.

The team at uShaka were impressed with the ability of the group to control the canoe.
