On Saturday 22nd March 2008, Mrs Rani Naidoo and the Interact Committee of Westville Girls’ High School organized an Easter charity event at Durban Beach Front.
Thousands of Easter eggs were collected by the learners of Westville Girls’ High School and Westville Superspar donated several large boxes to add to this collection.
The first stop was at uShaka Surf and Adventures where a development team of surfers (sponsored by Jeep Apparel) were given a small party following their session in the water.
The Interact team then meandered along the beach delivering Easter eggs to the homeless and disadvantaged children that frequent the South Beach area.
The final stop was the children’s ward in Addington Hospital. These children were certainly cheered up by the friendly faces of the school girls and the many Easter eggs that were offered to them.
This was a wonderful experience for all those involved.
